What it is

Why anxiety responds to frequency

Anxiety treatment works by doing the thing you have been avoiding and finding out you survive it. At one session a week you get one attempt and six days to talk yourself out of the next one. At three to five days a week you get momentum, and a clinician who sees what happened while you still remember it.

Adults with panic, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, or health anxiety that weekly therapy has not moved. People whose world has been getting quietly smaller — fewer drives, fewer invitations, more cancelled plans.

Common questions

Questions people ask before starting

Questions people ask before starting

Questions people ask before starting

How is this different from weekly therapy?

Frequency and structure. Weekly therapy is one hour a week with one person. An IOP is nine to fifteen hours a week with a group, a clinician, and a psychiatric provider who can manage medication.

Can I keep working while I do this?

Yes — that is what an IOP is for. Groups run mornings and evenings, three to five days a week. Most of our clients keep their job or stay in school the whole time.

Will I have to take medication?

Not unless you want to. You will meet a psychiatric provider as part of your assessment. Whether medication is part of your plan is a conversation, not a condition of admission.
